INTAKE ???????

I have a 89 dx 5spd. I want an intake that when i floor it or when i race. the intake screams . What is a good brand and which is louder short arm intake or cold air .???????

I think a short ram is louder, however, I have not had much luck making noise out of my mighty d15 motor whether I am running my AEM as short ram or cold air. If you want noise, go stab your muffler with a screwdriver a few times . I liked the way my car sounded when it first started to rust thru...then it got real loud when it had the bottom fall completely out

The short ram is a louder higher pitched sound. The cai makes a deep throaty sound at wot. Get the cai. It will make power with a good sound.

Don't forget to drill holes in the bottom of the box. I drilled about 8-10 holes on the outside end, closest to the fender. Then get some flex hose from Home Depot run that from your box to the hole for the cold air. It makes motor noise, but not annoying loud!

I have a pretty loud intake. i say go with the raactive/toucan industries intake. It's loud when you step on it and cheap too

worry a little more about power gains than sound!!!! geeze man! get an exhaust for the sound if that's what's important to you!
